Ark, anyone?

A few weeks ago, we had over 7 inches of rain in less than 9 hours, which pretty much turned half of Graham into a flood zone. Thankfully, we live on a hill so we were okay, but at the base of our hill they had to shut down roads that were washed over.
This was the view out our front door, AFTER some of the water had already receded. And yes, that is water over our road also.

Despite our house being dry, thank you God, our septic tank filled with water and was inoperable, so once again Lee's parents bailed us out and we spent a few days at their house. As far as the girls were concerned, this was cause for great celebration! They played with Mammaw and Pop, and even got to check out a frog that came swimming in.

Fortunately, we got the garden in before all the rain, and it didn't wash away. I absolutely LOVE the look of adoration Grace has on her face looking at her Daddy in this first picture.

Little Lily has entered an absolutely adorable toddler stage, and it's so fun to capture it on film. In this first picture, she is using her wheelbarrow to cart around what's important to her, her cups, while the rest of us were planting the garden. We refer to this expression as the "Vicki lip" because my mom makes this EXACT same face all the time when she's concentrating.

This is her "Listen, Mommy!" face, complete with ear cupping. So cute!
