Random picture updates

Been a while since I updated. Here goes a bunch of randomness:

A few weeks ago we FINALLY got to meet our new little nephew, Levi. (He is the son of Lon, Lee's brother, and his wife Christy). He is an adorable little snuggle bug (which of course really hurts my feelings ;) We all got to take turns loving on him:

Poor Levi was SO sleepy when we were shuffling him around. Neither of our girls quite knew what to do with all the yawning!




And speaking of yawning, Lily is undoubtedly growing, because she keeps falling asleep in the most random, unusual places and in the strangest positions:






And she is really getting in to being a "big girl". Here she is with her first "curly" hair. (use your imagination, her poor fine hair didn't stay curly long!)

I think Grace looks so old in this picture. It seems not so hard to imagine her face as a grown-up in pictures like these.

Lily's first piggy tails. She looked in the mirror and pronounced herself "Piddy!" (pretty) I also love how sassy she looks. Nothing gives a girl confidence like a good hair day!






After supper one night, the girls grabbed leftover oatmeal from breakfast (yuck). Lee and I were talking, and the next thing you know, we hear the bar stools being drug over to Lily's highchair. We expected Grace to try and put her in it, but instead they used it as a table top and giggled the whole time. Why that was fun, I don't know, but it was cute!



Who knew underwear was so multi-purposeful?

septic tanks and turtles

Our septic tank has been on the blitz again, and Lee, his dad, and my dad have been digging. and digging. and digging. and digging some more. The girls like climbing in the (no worries, dry) holes.




When my dad came last night to help out, he had a little box turtle in tow that he had "rescued" off the road and brought for the girls to see. Turtle mass hysteria ensued, and they loved it!


Grace had a little trepidation, but Lily had no fear and picked him up like she had been doing it her whole life. She kept turning it upward so she could look at his face and talking to him; it was so cute! (Also notice her hair up in a little ponytail! She finally wanted to start putting it up. I could not have been happier, because it's been hanging in her eyes for a month!)





Just in case you are wondering, things are now up and running, and we set the very thrilled to be let go turtle free in our back field.
