All About Lily Mae

Here's the long awaited "One year old" pictures for our sweet Lily. Because she was sick for a few weeks, and then had a black eye we were waiting to fade, she is actually 13.5 months in these pictures. Oh well, close enough! As you can see, she hammed it up just fine, but she would not stay in frame without the little wicker chair, which is why it is in nearly every picture. But it got her to stay, so what do you do?

Lily is a delight, into and climbing EVERYTHING, hence the nickname change from "Sunshine Girl" to "Sunshine Monkey". She loves her dolls, BOOKS, anything her sister doesn't want her to share, BOOKS, dancing and especially twirling, bananas, BOOKS, her kitties, being outside, stomping puddles, BOOKS, toothbrushes (especially ones that are not hers), unloading drawers (sigh), noses, eyelashes, her blankie and Lamby (see picture below), BOOKS, and is nearly always in a good mood. Despite her being the second child, and generally more laid-back because of that, she is fiercely independent and definitely has an opinion. As such, her favorite word currently is "No!" She has several other words, though, and is beginning to spit out a few sentences, like "No, no, kitty cat!" and "All done, get down!" and the like. Lily is adding some truly hilarious expressions, and routinely cracks us all up with her antics. We are truly blessed to have her as a part of our family.
