Lee is still driving back and forth to Graham, which is getting particularly hairy since it is now starting to get light out during the morning trip. In the past 10 days, he has had deer, skunks galore, and two over 200 pound hogs run out in front of his car. Makes for much nervousness.
On top of that safety issue, it is just REALLY getting old trying to sell our house. Lots of lookers, which is good, but is making my Mommy life crazier than normal trying to keep everything (relatively) clean all the time.
Lily is now 6 1/2 months old and getting very full of herself. Within one week's time she started sitting independently, spoon-feeding, trying to rock up on her knees to crawl, vocalizing more purposefully, scooting around in her walker, and cut her first tooth! Now she has two bottom teeth and is FINALLY starting to eat cereal and purees much better. So far the winner is sweet potatoes; like mother like daughter! Her favorite things are bouncing in the jumper (see video), pulling things down off of areas that were unreachable until the addition of the walker (sigh), laughing at her sister, and pulling off her shoes and trying to eat them.
Grace is doing so many more "big-girl" things lately. She has gotten SO tall - some of her 4T shirts and pants are too short already. She is a speed demon on her big-girl bike, and so darn cute in her princess helmet. Her favorite things are going to "school" (mother's day out at church), playing with play-toe (play-dough, thanks Aunt Katie!), practicing writing her alphabet (we've got T,P,G,O,D and a few others down), using her bathtub crayons (thanks Aunt Jenny), reading, and being outside doing anything that gets her as dirty as possible. With the ever growing independence, however, it's as if she back-slides with some of the other behavior. Enter the WHINING ZONE. It is terrible right now, and near-constant. It has gotten so bad that now she is losing privileges for not talking in a normal tone. AAAACCCKK!
Here are some new pictures and video:

Lily with first spoon-feeding. Doesn't she look pitiful?

Lily, unamused

Look at those cheeks!

Love that little snickery smile!
When Grace gets too crazy and it's too cold to go outside, Lee and I basically make her run laps indoors. Great, right? And you got to love the tutu!
